      • Probates and marriage license are still by appointment only.

    • Circuit Clerk's Office: I person will be allowed in the office at a time.
    • Tax Office: 2 people will be allowed in the office at a time.
      • The DMV window will remain closed at least through the month of August.
        • This will be reviewed by the Sheriff and Chief Tax Deputy mid-August.
        • A decision on reopening September 1 will be made then.
    • Assessor's Office:

      • Oil & Gas: I person will be allowed in the office at a time.
    • Prosecutor's Office: By appointment only; except local law enforcement.
  • Courthouse Security will monitor the number of people in each office and send the next appointment or person waiting when one leaves.
    • They will be using a card system to keep track of the numbers of people in each office. Please remind people to turn their cards back in once they leave your office.

Long Term

  • Keep the Courthouse open to the public indefinitely.
    • We will continue to monitor the situation and see if there is an up spike in cases.
    • If yes, we could close to the public again.
  • Only allow a specific number of people in each office. This number is based on square footage and set by the Governor.
    • We will continue to monitor his directives.

  • Temperature checks will continue for everyone who enters the Courthouse.
  • Employees are encouraged to wear a mask when dealing with the public directly, but not mandated.
  • The public will still be mandated to wear a face mask when they enter the Courthouse.
    • We will continue to monitor the situation to determine when this practice will end.
  • We are still requesting that any services which can be done online or on the phone continue to be done that way. We suggest making an appointment with individual offices. This keeps the flow moving as we still have to abide by social distancing guidelines.
  • The Commission continues to work with the MCHD while navigating these difficult times.
